With an affinity for exotic materials and an acute eye for quality, Teri Worthington launched a luxury handbag and accessories line, in 2017. Named after her maternal grandmother, her eponymous brand is modern yet timeless, subtly sophisticated and (sometimes) sassy.
Mabyl is all handmade using ethically sourced alligator, crocodile, snakeskin, ostrich, and lizard. All which follow the strict CITES guidelines.
Mabyl is designed in Nashville, and made in Manhattan.
A Mabyl favorite, it is no surprise that her men's collection is named for the matriarch’s son-in-law. Handcrafted using only the finest materials, the majority of the products in this collection are hand sewn, using traditional saddle-stitching. This centuries old technique involves the use of two needles, one at each end of Fil au Chinois linen thread. The needles pass each other through the leather creating a strong seam that will last a lifetime, if not beyond. The edges are creased with a filateuse and then hand painted creating a luxurious result. Like all Mabyl products, utmost consideration is given to maintaining the highest quality craftsmanship, while utilizing all ethically sourced exotic skins and hides.
